01 - Zombie {...} - Hanna is Not a Boy's Name by *vert-is-ninja

Time for a 30 character Challenge round 2! This time we're taking characters/fandoms I have not drawn before.

Zombie is the narrator and resident straightman of the comedy paranormal investigative duo Hanna and {...}. I'll be calling him Zombie for now, I kind of prefer it instead of calling him something new every time you reference him, that's Hanna's job. It works much better in pictures than it does in text ^^ But yeah, I have a crush on this Zombie, he's been dead long enough that he's forgotten his name and previous life, so he's very much living in the 'now' and doesn't let anything phase or bother him. I'm really excited to learn more about his backstory in future strips!

I had a lot of fun interpreting Vert's very stylized comic art into something more akin to 'me'. I'll experiment more with it in the future, because I guarantee I'll be drawing Zombie more. I'll also be trying some of the other characters too. The relationships and banter in the comic are very inspiring ^^

I just recently started to read HiNaBN and there's seriously some Zombie love on my end. :D :D I read all of the strips in less than five hours and am madly in love with the whole thing.

On a more related note, I absolutely love Zombie in your style. :heart:

^^ I just discovered it recently and fell quickly in love. Vert works so hard to put out strips, it really makes me want to come up with an original strip of my own!
