Kate wanted me to paint something not "in my normal style" which I assume means not well-defined, boldly colored, witty cuteness.

Well, there's a dark side in me... a side that really likes blood. Lots of it spewing everywhere. There's apparently a side of that in the one free man as well... I started replaying the game again not long ago and I had this overwhelming need to make a painting of Gordon being a total badass. I didn't include the crowbar in here but that's what he's using. And he's killing headcrab zombies and other pre-dead things not people, Gordon's the good guy.

If anyone thinks this deserves a mature warning or something just say so... it is pretty gruesome.

I hope it qualifies, Kate.

Back again!

Anyway, if Half Life was ever in third-person view, it would get to that picture.
Also, what he is doing is what I did when I tried to play the original Half Life (I got so freaked out I started hitting everything with the wrench)

I've never played this game, but this picture makes me want to.
I have to say, this is totally freaking awesome, I think I'm gonna geek out.

A lot of the natural brushes and the little fan shaped ones (? the ones in the middle that are kind of broken apart) I added a lot of scattering and brush affects to them too
