I know it's kind of a rehash page, but we had to catch the rest of camp up with what has happened. Now no one in our main cast can second guess the Captain's guilt on the matter... not when its put as simply as that. Avery certainly believes it... he's ready to take up the fight. He didn't really respect their leader anyway, so the fact that he'd possibly kill a fellow soldier to save his own hide has him totally outraged.

The Chief's got himself an army.

Also, spent all day installing Windows7. So far I'm pissed off at the toolbar but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I just wish it wasn't so thick and ugly. Also there's an alarm going off behind me... its 2:30 am, whose alarm is that!?! (Its the thermometer... apparently it's got something against 37 degrees F..-_-)

No matter what century it is, Marines will always have the motto "Semper Fidelis" held so dear it's practically in their blood. No wonder Avery's PISSED.

Now everyone has a valid reason to mutiny, what with a traitor running around as the CO.

(The Captain's a SPY sappin' mah camp!)

I agree with you. When I either played or watched someone else play Halo 2 or 3, I would always comment, "You are loosing men." I always felt sorry for the Marines and this comic of yours gives them backgrounds, you know what I mean?

Yeah its more fun when you put yourself in the role of the game. Just playing it to shoot at things wears itself out a lot faster than when you actually become the Master Chief and treat the situations as realistically as possible... whether its looking after your dudes or chasing after guys for vendettas or naming things.... I did that in Halflife as well.

"You? You stay here. I'm naming you Carl. Stay here Carl, leave it to me"

You know, a thought of curiousity just struck me. Who do think would make good voice actors for the cast if this was a cartoon?

The cast are my take on the marines from Halo2. the Captain I don't know (although I'd cast Matt from roosterteeth), but Petey's David Cross and Maria's Michele Roderiguez, Ally is Laura Prepon, Dunny's Andrew McKaige, Avery is Pete Stacker or Orlando Jones and Carlos is whichever one the hispanic sounding guy was.

That's how it started, man. I cast the comic with them as the cast... my friends and I named the marines we were fighting with while cooping halo2 so when it came to making friends for Chief to play with in 0051, they were the first thing I thought of. Those marines grew into more than just funny one-liners, I learned to identify them by voice as they ran around with us and protected them as best I could and mourned them when they repeatedly died, so I wanted to immortalize them in a more substantial form. The main point of the comic was to show off the love I've got for the franchise... and to show everyone what I thought Chief's face look like.

If you're upgrading from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium, or Vista Professional to Window 7 Professional, you can do a simple upgrade and it should keep all your settings and programs in place (I'm not sure of the specifics, since I haven't done that myself).

If you're upgrading from XP or going from one version of Vista to a different version of Win7, you have to do a clean installation, which will have completely new settings but everything from the previous installation will be move to a folder called windows.old, so you can move it all back to where you want it in the new installation (you'd have to reinstall all your programs, though)

Win7 takes a while to get used to, but I've been liking it a lot better than Vista. Fortunately, you can shrink the taskbar in the properties dialog ("use small icons"), unfortunately it makes some special taskbar icons not work (I use Gmail Notifier Plus, and the small icon doesn't have any visual indicator of new mail)

As far as I can tell, he found it and was researching it, but wanted to keep it a secret from the rest of the camp. I assume he blew it up because the covenant AI would have been able to contradict his story about how he got it.

What I'm not sure of is why he was having Cortana poke around if he didn't want them to make contact (maybe he didn't know there'd be an AI, or he was ordered to and keeping up appearances?), or if he's following orders from the OSI or going to lie to them about what just happened.
