..Sorry Chief, I'm afraid it had to happen. I remembered distinctly a part of the books where it said the Spartans took their armor for granted, taking risks and lapsing in doublechecks because their shields or radar or HUDs would cover the details for him. He had to get shot sometime in this fic, it was inevitable.

He's more wounded by the shame than the pain in his shoulder, even though he was run straight through. It's a shoulder wound not conveniently, even though I wanted to shoot him, I knew he's too good a soldier in general to leave his vital areas open. He's moving so as to avoid serious injury... but is also being sloppy. It's more realistic with a peripheral shot.

And no one will be surprised about who is shouting... still I promise you wont' be long to wait for the next page. I'm back home now and I ... think... my life is going to be normal?
