Aliens fanart y'all. Download for much larger version. Do not mock me for being unable to draw likenesses
Dude you guys... dude... I've been working on this for at least a week. Most likely more than a week. I had moments of deep sincere love for it and moments of aloof abandonment when it wasn't going right but now it's done and I'm very proud of it.
Okay here's the story: this goes with an Alien fanfic I may write sometime. The plot worked on this basic principle:
In Alien3 Bishop was reduced to a head, chest and right arm. He was deactivated abandoned during the events of the movie... but what if he were salvaged? He would have extensive knowledge of Xenomorph behavior and anatomy after his interactions in Aliens, something pretty valuable to good ol' Weyland Yutani science. Since all they needed was his brain, they'd turn him into a server and mount him in the wall like this.
Call is from Alien Resurrection, she's also a synthetic but according to her she's a synthetic that's build by other synthetics... so as to be more functional as both a computer and a human likeness. As a result we have a robot with free will.
So I thought... what if that robot that designed the newest models was Bishop! With his knowledge exhausted they put him to work on designing computer AI (he'd have little else to do stuck in that wall). He'd crunch those numbers and design the most advanced AI... one greater than himself. After the failure of the new line of robots who don't take orders and the buyout of Weyland-Yutani by Walmart, Bishop and his facility were abandoned to slowly decay and gather dust.
The scene you see here is Call returning to the facility. I figure as a human emulator, Call would consider Bishop like her father. He was probably the one fishing in the mainframe feeding her locations of alien testing sites, guiding her and advising her before she goes on dangerous missions. He gave her all she has and her humanlike programming would love him dearly. I imagine finding him in this abandoned place and seeing the state he was in would break her heart.
Bishop is being maintained by vats of recycled synthetic white blood. He's connected to a Mother type computer systems with lights and stuff. Everything's covered in dust so the ambient light is diffused through a thin veil. I tried to keep the tech looking very Alien with clunky CRTs and oldschool keyboards mounted on consoles. I also entertained my attraction to draping people in ribbons and chains and making hanging wires and stuff. I love it.
If you don't understand, Call's run into the room, swiped the dust off the monitors to see if he's still functioning and climbed on a chair to unshackle his arm from the cuff hanging above and wrap it around herself for comfort....
So yeah... tldr.... I love Aliens
