commission/birthday present for

Today is Roxy's birthday, everyone wish her well!

She asked for a painting of a black knight fighting a ferocious dragon (she also said she liked the color green, but I ignored that apparently 0_0) so using that and the five hours (plus some more) that she paid for I indulged myself.

I had a blast spending so long on one drawing. It's hugenormus size and heavy detail are something I can't find time to do for myself very much anymore, and I'd never think of doing such a traditionally fantasy artwork like dragon vs knight.

Because it's such a common scene, I wanted to throw in my own flair. I don't think I've ever seen a Cobra!Dragon before, so drawing inspiration from Jafar in Aladdin, I put this huge hood on this menacing creature and I'm pretty satisfied.

Also if you're like me and you hate drawing backgrounds... dont ^^ That's my new motto. Compose a picture where the characters fill the frame from top to bottom and problem is solved. Brilliant ^^
