Commish for
 These two are married soldiers Thomas and Sora. They were taking care of their firearms, keeping them clean and well maintained until Sora decided to make tea. The scene is set up a little stiffly, but I wanted the picture to have a quiet tearoom feel to it. I dont know about you, but I can almost hear the harp music in my head. I hope you like it, Tommy, I spent a long time trying to get the background to look like a real japanese living room. I used a reference for color and structure, but everything (except the medals) is original. |

I believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior.
The kimono looked well done, and I particularly liked the white one. I don't whether it's because of shading or whatnot, but I found the subtle pink to highlight the shadows gave it an iridescent feel. Like, shimmers. What I've also realized that there's shadowing behind the wallscroll, just like proper 3 dimensional hanging of a wall should. Props!
The room overall also made me think of lacquerware. Must be the reds and the black.

Nice job.
Truth be told about the characters though, Thomas is of Dutch Nationality and a swordsmen, he cannot handle a gun unless its big and bulky.
The military They both serve isn't the JDF, but the Japanese flag is a nice touch seeing as Thomas prefers living in Japan over his home country.
As for Sora, she's more scientist Material then front line soldier. but the military profits from that regardless.
