So I've picked Digital Devil Saga up again after a couple years' hiatus. I was on the last level and I did a poor job of raising my characters so I got frustrated and stopped. And there were other reasons too but I won't get into that. Point being, I loved Gale. I loved Gale very much... maybe it was the fact that we got to watch his personality emerge, maybe because he was the outcast of the group by no fault of his own, maybe it was because he struggled with the anomaly of not comprehending things when his purpose in life was to study and strategically understand his environment therefore raising questions about who he was and why he was not experiencing the same changes in emotion and motivation as his teammates. I can identify a lot with him sometimes.
Digital Devil Saga. It's sexy. Its stylized. It has cannibalism. I suggest RPG fans play it. It's good enough to tear me away from Balthier long enough to try and finish the final level.
Edit
Hah, who'd have thought the majority of the comments on this pic would be about Steve Blum ^^ But I have seen the error of my ways. I'm sorry Steve, I do love you as Gale. I promise to no longer badmouth you as long as you promise to keep sneaking into my favorite games and taking me by surprise.
pps.... play Psychonauts
lol... I'm sorry ^^ I guess I'm just well informed. My list after Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil and Digital Devil Saga becomes very short and mainstream.
I like Steve Blum fine... I loved him as Spike... but unfortunately he can't change his voice at all and I find it a little distracting. I run across a character with Steve's voice and I'm like "You're the Steve Blum of today!" But that game is full of those. Wendy is in it too... and so is Crispin if I'm not mistaken.
Draw lots of menz and you will grow your own skill ^^ I praise the fact that I'm a straight college-age girl for the fact that I've taught myself to draw mens' torsos.
And its a PS2 game. There are two of them actually that directly relate to one another. I've got to finish 1 before I start 2 thought, because my status points and story-driven decisions carry over and affect the outcome of DDS2
Are they planning to? Because that would be sweet... even though I already own it for the PS2 and don't have a PSP. Mostly I'd be pleased with the greater publicity.
They should put Beyond Good ad EVil on PSP... and Psychonauts

Lovely picture. So full of emotion, and I wish I could steal your skill of drawing menz.

This view of him is good, nice to not see his face, adds some mystery... And the poster feeling with the rainy weather; totally awesome!!!!

Gale is my all-time favorite DDS character.
I love him so much
And, for once, I finally find a dashing picture of him
I love this - it's very nice ^^
I love Steve Blum, and I think his voice fit Gale nicely...
But I love Mr. Blum for his other roles too.
But, I know you feel the opposite.
