At the end of the FMA movie I was left with the sadness that I did not get an Elric!Brother!Hug in that movie... I mean, when both of them were trying so hard to find each other I expected a little more reaction. Some kind of emotion of some kind. Ed was acting like he never left at all. I think of all people Ed needed a hug the most because he'd been living this whole time not knowing whether his brother was even alive let alone whether he'd succeeded in giving him back his body or not. To finally have a human being hug after four years of armor and two years of separation... I wanted an elric hug really really badly.

I may draw more later, but this is what I cranked out last night in my sketchbook.

I doubt I seen the movie, but you're right, after a journey like that a hug would be the least of what they could have done : o

AW! I know! No hug in ANY of the 110 episodes OR two movies?! WHY?! I was WAITING for that! T___T Completely agree! I was WAITING for them to hug when they saw each other again! I mean, WINRY gets a hug! T______T LOVE this so much! Rock on! The emotion, positions, black and white, expressions...! PERFECT! *U*

I know what you mean. There are FAR TOO FEW Elric hugs, if any..... that's kind of sad....

Simply gorgeous!! We need more Elric Brother Hugs! :D You did an amazing job with this! Such simplicity, yet an onset of emotions flowing through the pencil strokes at the same time... the proportions are very well done, and are posed in a way that can be difficult to achieve properly. Edward's facial expression alone shows just how much he cares for his little brother and the emotion of the entire picture itself, regardless of how much of his face is covered. And even as a pencil sketch, the shading and lighting is superbly done! This looks like just a quick sketch, but appears to have taken quite some time, perhaps 30 minutes to an hour at most?

Felt like I should say something special here, it's been a while since I've seen some really good FMA fanart. :)

Oh yes, definitely! I love moments like that... like an epiphany, and, in a short time period, you gain Godly drawing skills and create a masterpiece... such is the life of an artist, is it not? XD
